CHILDCARE AND BABYSITTER SAFETY

The Child and Babysitting Safety program is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. It is designed to offer babysitter certification for individuals in high school. The course typically takes approximately 5 hours to complete. All participants will receive an American Safety and Health Institute textbook and official course completion card.

  • Child Sleep Time

  • Providing Emergency Care

  • Choking and CPR

  • Basic First Aid Care:

    • How Are Children Injured?

    • Bleeding Emergencies

    • Shock

    • Burn Care

    • Fire Safety

    • Strains and Sprains

    • Dislocations and Fractures

    • Head, Neck or Spinal Injury

    • Medical Emergencies/Sudden Illness

    • Specific Body Injuries and Care
